Eğitim-Öğretime 2016 yılında 13.500 m2 açık 1500 m2 kapalı alana sahip şu anki binasında 180 öğrenci 25 öğretmen ile başlayan okulumuzda karma eğitim verilmektedir. İsmini 15 Temmuz 2016 yılında şehit olan Makine Mühendisi Mehmet Şengül’den almıştır. Okulumuz özel program ve proje uygulayan okul statüsünde olup sınavla öğrenci almakta ve ağırlıklı olarak Fen- Matematik alanında eğitim vererek bilim adamı yetiştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Kurulduğu günden itibaren okulumuzda İngilizce ve Almanca eğitimi verilmektedir. 2022 yılında okulumuzun imzalamış olduğu Uluslararası AP Diploma ve Öğrenci Değişim Programı uygulayan okul statüsüne kavuşmayı hedeflemektedir. Okulumuz çağın gereklerine uygun şekilde donatılmış, gerekli ekipman ve donanıma sahip bir okul olarak eğitim-öğretime devam etmektedir.
