Okulumuz ilk açıldığı 1975-76 Dönemi’nde “Maarif Koleji” olarak eğitime başladı. Aynı dönem, Anadolu Lisesi’ne dönüştürüldü. O dönemlerde okulumuz, bölgedeki tek Anadolu Lisesi idi ve çevre illerden de öğrenci çekmekteydi. Resmi adı “Anadolu Lisesi” olmakla birlikte, süre içerisinde “Adana Anadolu Lisesi” adı yerleşti ve ardından da resmileşti. 1982-83 Dönemi’nde, Lise Erkek Voleybol Takımı forması öğrenciler tarafından yeniden dizayn edilmiş ve formada uygulanan “ALA”, okulumuzun arması olarak kabul görerek, tarihteki ve gönüllerdeki yerini almıştır. 1995-2003 yılları arasında okulumuzun adı “Kurttepe Anadolu Lisesi” olarak değiştirildi. Ancak 24 Ocak 2004 tarihinden itibaren okulumuz tekrar “Adana Anadolu Lisesi” olarak eski adını almıştır.

Our school started education as "Maarif College" in 1975-76 when it was first opened. In the same period, it was transformed into Anatolian High School. At that time, our school was the only Anatolian High School in the region and was attracting students from the surrounding cities. Although its official name is "Anatolian High School", the name "Adana Anatolian High School" was settled in time and then became official. In the 1982-83 Period, the High School Boys' Volleyball Team jersey was redesigned by the students and the "ALA" applied on the jersey was accepted as the emblem of our school and took its place in history and hearts. Between 1995-2003, the name of our school was changed to "Kurttepe Anatolian High School". However, as of January 24, 2004, our school took its old name as "Adana Anatolian High School".
